Alton Bus Rally & Running Day

One of Britain's biggest bus rallies & running days with a display of around 150 buses and coaches of all shapes and sizes from a variety of eras and operating areas!
FREE bus services from Anstey Park to various destinations including Alton town centre and railway station, Medstead & Four Marks railway station and the surrounding towns and villages. The network of routes is based on former Aldershot & District, Alder Valley, Hants & Dorset, Southdown, Wilts & Dorset and other local independent operators routes from the 1950's, 60's, 70's and 80's.
There is also a large display of other types of vehicles including classic cars, lorries, motorcycles, vans, emergency services and military vehicles.
A programme containing full details of all the FREE bus services and histories of the vehicles will be available to purchase on the day from the rally site at Anstey Park and from Alton station.
A variety of sales stands and catering outlets are available at the rally site. Toilets are also available at Anstey Park.
Travelling to the event
FREE parking for hundreds of cars.
FREE frequent bus services between Alton Station and Anstey Park, connecting with trains from London Waterloo.
FREE feeder bus services to Alton from Basingstoke, Wlnchester Guildford, Aldershot and Farnham. Feeder services are subject to confirmation, timetables will be finalised in June 2017 and published on their website.
The Mid Hants Railway 'Watercress Line' will be operating an intensive train service between Alton and Alresford using both steam and heritage diesel traction. Hop on board a vintage bus to visit the railway and see the locomotive shed at Ropley where you can get up close to the steam engines and see the restoration work underway Train travel tickets can be purchased In advance or on the day from any of our stations or at the rally site.
