SRM 7 (formerly RM 1871) is for sale to a good home, and will be released from Timebus after the 31st December. Offers are expected in excess of 40K, plus VAT. She was painted silver in 1977, to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth 11. She is in very good condition, receives regular maintenance, has a class 6 test valid until April 2017 and is fitted with an AEC 690 (11.3 litre) engine. The heater system is as original but has been made more effective by the discrete fitting of a two speed fan to enable heat to be supplied when the bus is stationary. The tachograph has been housed neatly in the position of the former speedometer. In the last couple of years she has been repainted both externally and on both ceilings. The wiring has also been replaced on both decks to renewed lighting sockets. |
